Finally, another Templarverse story! The Unto the Breach gang is back as Ali does Ali things.

Scrapbook - 8/29
New theme! Now it's "Devilish Dialogues". Also today marks the return of a previous character.

Scrapbook - 8/23
A play on words prompt and an actual "D'aww" moment from me. Guess it was bound to happen eventually.

Scrapbook - 8/19
And another eight months of silence. Oops. In my defense though, I've barely gone to writers group, since it was almost an hour away until recently. But I've moved again, and it's at a reasonable distance. So, let's check out some more scrapbook tales. Given how much stuff I have to post, I'm just going to date them instead of number them from now on.
Also, I'll be splitting the mini-stories across several posts over a week or so. Some have ongoing themes, others are entirely one-offs.

Scrapbook #9
Final one for the week! Bit of a horror kick today, though I may have just been taking the second prompt a little too literally...

Scrapbook #8
Just one entry this time around, but it's nearly the requisite length. Terranis has plenty of room to get creepy at times...

Scrapbook #7
Well, this doesn't seem so bad! I guess it is a bit easier to crank out stuff if each entry doesn't have to be quite as long. So a couple of really tiny entries here, as well as some more Templarverse material, including a literary version of part of the story to Murder in the Rue Marche (albeit with only having a couple minutes to write each part). Enjoy!

Scrapbook #6
So I'm told shorter blogs, say 500-750 words, instead of my usual 1,000-2,000, gets read a lot more. Also posting frequently helps. To that end, let's do a bunch of shorter posts this week. Onwards for more!

Scrapbook #5
Well... oops. Nearly an entire year gone by. Not as much writing done as I had hoped or intended. A fair bit of creative stuff done, but moreso in terms of game development and painting. I should post some pictures.
For now though, enjoy some more mini-stories! And yes, I'll be doing more prompt stories. Gotta write something to go in the game!

Scrapbook #4
I think we're overdue for some more randomness. So here's some more randomness! We've got a couple stories set in Terranis, a legendary monster, a Cards Against Humanity reference, and my attempt to pass the Bechdel Test in 30 seconds.

Scrapbook #3
More randomness! We've got a dash of comedy, a vague parable, more comedy, and another story featuring the writer's group in a new situation, and thus is a kinda/sorta sequel to a previous story.
And no, I haven't forgotten about the prompt stories. I'm working on several articles right now, including reviews of the Space Wolves and Grey Knights books, a review of The Damnation of Pythos, and an original article for my universe. Once I get those out of the way, I'll hammer out another prompt story.

Scrapbook #2
Here's another batch of writings! Some randomness, and some cohesive narratives, all written in five minutes or less. At some point along here, I decided to challenge myself to try and make as many of these stories set within my game world as I could, so many of them are just that. A few aren't, though, and one or two recurring characters make a return.
Anyway, enjoy!
Anyway, enjoy!

Scrapbook #1
I've been going to a writing group nearly every week for the last eight or nine months, and just realized I've accumulated a fair amount of random bits of writing material as a result. Our group activities typically consist of several rounds of impromptu writing based on a HUGE variety of writing prompts, typically only having 1-3 minutes to write, and then reading our works aloud. Rather than just let them collect dust in a combination of my notebooks and a Google Docs file, I figured I'd put some of it up on here.
Most of it is fairly random, but there's a few recurring characters/narratives here and there. You'll laugh (maybe), you'll cry (maybe)! The prompt will be before each story too, for context.

The Nature of Home
For my birthday, I thought I'd be a little more introspective. I graduated college last month, ending yet another chapter in my life, and transitioned right into the next one with a job in Detroit. I've done an insane amount of traveling in my life, particularly in the last decade, and it got me to thinking about home, and what that means, both in general and for myself.

A Commentary on Storytelling
So, yes, it's 2013. Been a couple months. I'd like to say I've been waist-deep in new works of writing for myself, but that'd be a bit of an exaggeration. If I'm using double-space, I'd say I was just past ankle-level. My NaNo story has largely ground to a halt as I'm suddenly finding myself worried about the quality of what I write without a looming deadline bearing down on me like an angry Meteor about to blow up the planet. I've gotten a few flash pieces done, and am halfway through the third installment of my Walking series, having discovered an interesting new way of writing at the behest of my professor.
But I'll share all that later. For now, I wanna pretend I know what I'm talking about when it comes to writing and stuff.
